There are a number of groups that carry files these are called the binaries. These groups are heavy users of bandwidth therefore most ISP’s do not carry them because of the bandwidth they use. If you want you want to access the binaries you will need to find a specific Usenet provider there are a number in the market some specialize in specific groups some offer proxy tunnels so users can avoid being detected downloading or uploading material. Each provider will have different services be sure to find out there retention rate this is the amount of time files stay on the server before being dropped a good retention rate is 30 days.

All groups a refreshed around every month as new things are posted the old material drops back until the  Usenet company’s decide to drop the files. This is different for every Usenet provider. I would use Usenet this is one of the biggest Usenet providers It provides one of the highest retention rates in the industry so will keep files on there servers for longer and in better condition. It’s important to find the right Usenet provider for your purposes so have a look around if your looking for specific services like proxy tunnels.

What is NNTP How To Share Intelligently

Usenet NNTP ( Network News Transfer Protocol) is the protocol used for Usenet posts. It's different from HTTP Usenet is a like a world wide a global forum where users can post and share anything. Posts are live on the Usenet (NNTP)and are carried for around 30 days longer on some servers.

.Usenet NNTP mainframe is a military protected site. The server is encased in a 3 mega tonne thermal nuclear bomb proof concrete bunker in the US.

People share Titles in Binary posts and can include the latest cinema release's, console games, the latest software practically anything. Binaries Posts may become degraded after 10+ days. Servers pass groups around to each other and as a post becomes older it moves down the 30 day time frame. Posts that have a 31+ day post date will not be carried on some servers. A text group the post will last 60+ days this is because the text post has a smaller size and is cheaper for the servers to carry. A text post may have a 120+ day lifespan. Getting a good retention with a Usenet Server is important It means you don’t have to scan for missing files and receive corrupted CRC (Cycle Redundancy Check) Files With a higher retention files have a longer lifespan meaning you have the best opportunity to find those interesting posts.

You feel like a human information miner occasionally finding Information of a valuable nature that makes the search worth while. With such a vast amount of Groups with endless group theme’s means there is Information of every conceivable nature some more valuable than others.

Tomorrow I'll post information on Groups. What different groups cater for and where you can get sensitive information. I'll also be posting details of how to access the Usenet NNTP network for free even the binaries and what groups to use.

Really I'm letting you into a secret that took me a while to figure out around ten years ago. With the demise of rapidshare and other sharing websites the only real way to share is using Usenet NNTP. To date no-one has been charged or convicted by sharing on binary groups and are unlikely to be either.

NNTP Proxys and hacked security software

Be sure to use a proxy tunnel if you decide to use Usenet NNTP network for downloading illegal material and it goes without saying if your accessing the hacker groups. You don't want anybody on the network identifying your IP address even if you have a dynamic IP it may be to late.

Some Usenet providers will provide proxy tunnels for your multi thread downloads. Of course there is a premium for this service. Often users of the p03n groups will use proxy's to avoid their ISP detecting what they are downloading. There is also other groups where it would be advisable not to connect to unless your protected with proxys. But Hiding your IP through a proxy might not be enough. There are back-door programs that will communicate your new IP as soon as its changed. You need to ensure that all of your security software is up to date. Especially if your downloading files from unknown groups.

Regulars of certain groups will know to stay well away from posts made by certain users. A good idea would be to check out previous posts and use your common sense if it sounds to good to be true it usually is.

Some people will refuse to buy security software and use the hacked or nulled versions packed up and shared on the binaries DON'T these programs have often been re-engineered to include viruses or key loggers the security software itself will not detect the hack.  If you download and use nulled or cracked security software you are putting yourself at even more risk than not using it. It would be pointless paying a premium for proxy tunnels only to skip on your security software.

Be on alert when using Usenet there are a lot of cracked software titles out there but there are also lots of bad ones. Don't take a chance with security software often the big Hackers will target these as they know people will refuse to shell out every year.
